Day 1 La Paz
Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Uyuni
Leave early for the long journey to Uyuni, the start point for the salt flats excursion is.

Days 3-5 Uyuni/Salt Flats excursion
A major highlight in South America is the 3-day 4x4 excursion into the Uyuni Salt Flats and surrounding desert altiplano. Gaze out across the vast white desert of the salt flats and marvel at the red, green and blue lagoons within the altiplano. Enjoy the spectacular scenery, including volcanoes, salt lakes and geysers. Stay in simple hotels upgraded with solar panels to provide electricity and hot water.

Day 6 Potosí
Travel by bus to Potosí, the highest city in the world (4,090mt/13,418ft). Opt to take a tour of a working silver mine within Cerro Rico (Rich Mountain) or explore the city and visit the unique markets filled with almost everything.

Days 7-9 Sucre
Continue by bus to Sucre, the former capital of Bolivia. Optional activities here include an excursion to the site of 60 million-year-old dinosaur tracks, a city tour or free time for independent exploration.

Day 10 La Paz
Fly to La Paz. Free afternoon to explore the city's markets and streets or take an optional city tour including the Valley of the Moon.

Day 11 La Paz
Depart at any time.
