Itinerary

Day 1 Yangon
Arrive any time.

Day 2 Nyaung Shwe
Fly to Heho and transfer the short distance to Nyaung Shwe. This town is the gateway to Inle Lake and it's many attractions. This afternoon is free to explore Nyaung Shwe.

Day 3 Inle Lake
Visit Inle Lake by bike and boat today. Cycle around the lake and stop for lunch with a local Intha family during the ride. The floating villages and gardens of the lake are the ideal backdrop to a day of cycling.

Day 4 Kalaw
Continue cycling around Inle Lake today, visiting the village of Indien. With an image of Buddha surrounded by a cluster of stupas on the hill below this is Burma at its best. From here, cycle onwards to Kalaw for the night.

Day 5 Pindaya
After transferring back to Heho, get back in the saddle and cycle to Pindaya. Visit magnificent Pindaya Caves, set in a limestone ridge overlooking a picturesque lake where over 8,000 thousand different types of Buddha images are on display in various chambers.

Days 6-7 Mandalay
This morning, pull on the hiking boots and head up into the hills. Hike through friendly villages and incredible scenery around Pindaya. In the afternoon, transfer to Mandalay. Day 7 is free to explore Mandalay's ancient temples and other beautiful sites such as the Golden Monastery.

Day 8 Monywa
A full morning in the saddle as the journey continues by bike. Wheel through the ancient kingdom of Ava, the ancient capital of Amarapura and the multiple Buddhist monasteries of Sagaing. In the afternoon transfer to Monywa.

Day 9 Bagan
Crossing over the Chindwin River, continue cycling to Lingadaw before returning to Bagan by bus.

Day 10 Popa
A long day of cycling carries on through the hills and villages to the pilgrimage site of Mt Popa. Stop to visit the Taung Kalat Shrine before stopping here for the night.

Days 11-12 Bagan
Return to Bagan today by bike, stopping at the town of Kyauk Padaung en route. On Day 12, explore the hundreds of temples and stupas that dot the landscape here.

Day 13 Yangon
Transfer to the airport, fly to Yangon.

Day 14 Yango
Depart at any time.
