On this tour you will get to see the stunning Tuscan countryside which is as good as anywhere in the world. Highlights of this trip include riding through little villages, eating tasty local cuisine and stopping off at Montepulciano and Pienza.

Tuscany is one of the top places in the world for food and you will get lots of freshly prepared meals which will be just what you need after a day cycling.

This is a small group trip which has an average of 8 people on every tour, the maximum number of people allowed to join is 12. You do not need to be an expert rider to join this tour.

 

Tuscany Cycle Trip Itinerary

Day 1 Rome
Arrive at any time

Day 2 Chianciano Terme
Enjoy a local Italian breakfast before an orientation walk around Rome. Transfer by train to our agriturismo (converted farmhouse) in the Tuscan countryside. This evening, our host Stefano, will welcome us with the first of our many wonderful meals, comprised of ingredients from the area.

Day 3 Chianciano Terme/Pienza
Cycle to the classic Renaissance town of Pienza, experiencing the quintessential Tuscan landscape.

Day 4 Chianciano Terme/Montepulciano
Transfer to the Tuscan hill town of Montepulciano, famous for producing excellent food and wine. Cycle around the Tuscan hills, and enjoy the car-free centre of this magnificent town.

Day 5 Chianciano Terme/Tuscan Lakes
A full day cycling in the Tuscan lakes. Follow the cycle tracks around Lake Chiusi and Lake Montepulciano. After a lunch at a natural oasis, we return to our agriturismo base.

Day 6 Chianciano Terme/Bagno Vignoni
Cycle to the beautiful spa town of Bagno Vignoni. Explore the town, opt to soak in the thermal pools or relax and enjoy the views before your return cycle to our agriturismo.

Day 7 Chianciano Terme
Depart from the agriturismo on a group transfer at 10am arriving into Chiusi Station at 10:30am.
