Itinerary

Day 1 Moshi
Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Machame Gate to Machame Camp
Hike the lower slopes of Mt Kilimanjaro to Machame Camp.

Day 3-4 Machame Camp to Barranco Camp
Hike through lower alpine moorland to Shira 2 camp and observe the spectacular views of Kibo Peak. Hike to Barranco Camp via Lava Tower. Fantastic views of Western Breach and Breach Wall.

Day 5 Barranco Camp to Barafu Camp
Hike via Great Barranco Wall and the vast alpine desert of Karanga Valley.

Day 6 Barafu Camp to Summit to Mweka Camp
Hike during the night to the summit via Stella Point. Watch the sunrise before descending to Mweka Camp.

Day 7 Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate to Moshi
Continue descent through forested lower slopes to Moshi.

Day 8-9 Arusha/Lake Manyara National Park
Pick up any last minute supplies for the safari, then learn about the Mto wa Mbu village on a guided cultural walk with lunch. View wildlife on a game drive.

Day 10-11 Serengeti National Park
Travel through the Rift Valley and visit a Masai village to learn about the Masai people and the Planeterra-supported Clean Cookstove project. Meet the local women engineers who have installed clean cookstoves throughout these communities. Pull out the camera for great shots of wildlife on game drives.

Day 12-13 Ngorongoro Conservation Area/Arusha
Morning game drives in Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater.

Day 14 Arusha
Depart at any time.
