Instituto Hemingway was founded in 1999 right next to the city center in a historical building with fantastic views to both the old part of the town and river.
All of our professional, native-Speaking Spanish teachers are highly qualified and widely experienced to teach Spanish all year round.
We are a medium-sized school in a friendly atmosphere with students from all over the world. We have a reduced class-size with highly qualified teachers (20 hours per week in the mornings) offering free leisure and cultural activities Monday to Friday in the afternoons. We also offer accommodation arrangements.
We focus on Spanish language with programs all over Spain and other countries in Latin America. The Spanish language courses are always taken this undiscovered secret of Spain but internships, jobs, semesters, field trips, teaching English, volunteer programs etc can be taken anywhere in Spain.

I had a fun learning experience at Instituto Hemingway, Bilbao It was wonderful to have teachers that taught in Spanish only and since the classes are small, I had many opportunities to practice my conversational skills. I highly recommend this school. It truly distinguishes itself from other language schools. I spent 3 months at the school and thus encountered 3 different teachers all of whom where fantastic teachers, truly. Moreover, the school offers daily activities which alows you to really get to know the other students, leading to a 'family' and secure feeling within the school!
