Details

During your time as a conservation volunteer you will carry out small projects in various regions of the country. In groups of 6-10 people you'll help to maintain hiking trails and plant trees in nature reserves in order to help preserve the habitat of the endangered kiwi. You may also take part in conducting field studies for projects dedicated to researching endangered species.

Moreover, you may be involved in cleaning up beaches and taking care of cultural heritage sites in New Zealand. Work will take place in regions that remain hidden to most tourists. In this way, you will be able to experience a completely different and exciting side of New Zealand. Dive into a fascinating world full of spectacular landscapes and experience the biodiversity of New Zealand's flora and fauna, which has evolved in a completely unique way due to the remoteness of the island!

Accommodation

Your accommodation depends on the particular project and its location: you may sleep in a shared room in a hostel, in a hut, in a caravan or even in a tent. On the weekends and during your working hours you will be provided with three daily meals, prepared by you and your team members.
