The Conservation project in Kenya is based in the Soysambu Conservancy, in the Rift Valley. It is a haven and a breeding ground for a diverse range of wild animals, and has particular emphasis on protecting the endangered Rothschild's giraffe. The reserve covers 48,000 acres and is home to more than 450 species of bird and over 50 species of mammals.

The aim of our project is to aid the conservation on Kenya's biodiversity through research and monitoring. Volunteers on this project will take part in a variety of activities, including wildlife studies, endangered species research, removal of invasive plants, reserve maintenance, mammal inventories, anti-poaching patrols, and community work.

Volunteers live at the conservancy in a ranch house which as modified domitory-style accommodation and a spacious living area for socialising and relaxing.
