These projects provide volunteers with international work experience whilst caring for those who are in need of help. As a physiotherapy volunteer you will assist local therapists in hospitals, clinics and care centres across the developing world.
Whether you are a student at university or a trained professional, you will have an important role to play. Each placement is tailored, where possible, to your level of experience and any specific interests that you have.
Our Physiotherapy programmes enable volunteers to help disabled children and adults to lead as normal lives as possible. Hospitals and clinics can be poorly resourced and under-staffed, so the help of volunteers is greatly appreciated by the local staff.
We also welcome professionally qualified physiotherapists for volunteering placements. These professional volunteering placements allow you to put your skills and expertise to the best use through assisting with the treatment of patients as well as exchanging knowledge and ideas with the local staff.
