Students will have the opportunity to analyze the most famous creations, from the 'Lambretta' scooter, to the lamps of Giò Ponti, from the Bauhaus to magazines of the sector, with a focus on current Italian design.

A historical retracing of the development of design, provides a study of the historical, social and economic context of the movements which have marked history from the year 1900. After gaining a general knowledge of the international processes of the development of industrial design, the teaching will focus on the Italian experience and its contemporary development in space and architectural design.

The course will also analyze concepts of form, series, type, standard and system, in relation to the developments dealt with in the course.
