Education brings hope for the future. Gives self-worth and dignity. All people should have a right to these. The Little Lambs Daycare provides Early Childhood Development services and care to the poor in the community of Imizamo Yethu, near Hout Bay in South Africa.

Little Lambs operates 5 days per week (9am - 1pm) with a full-time Principal and staff members – all from the community and caters and provides a safe learning space for 260 children aged between 10 months to 6 years while their parents can seek work in the nearby town. Besides a small school fee and some government grants Little Lambs is funded purely from donations.

There is a strong, structured volunteering in place and volunteers have a hugely enriching volunteering experience. Those who love working and playing with kids aged 1 - 6, will have the time of their lives. The kids are boisterous, fun and full of love.

In the last 13 years the school has grown and thanks to the generosity of our various corporate and private sponsors, renovations to the existing school buildings were started in 2007. It was completed in 2012 and now consists of 11 classrooms, 17 toilets, a well equipped kitchen, covered verandah and large playground.

The Trust´s primary initiative is the Little Lambs Christian Daycare project, that offers basic care, nutrition and preschool education for children from Imizamo Yethu.
