The main work for volunteers at the projects is to care for the children, most whom have mental and physical disabilities. You can help with feeding, changing, walking and playing games with the children. Volunteers working in this program typically work for 5-6 hours a day, 5 days in a week. Many placements have around 75-100 children in the centres. There is plenty to do to keep yourself busy!

Vietnamese people are very friendly and will welcome you to open arms. Some of the children and locals might not speak English but you will be able to help them and you might even pick up some of the local language. There will also be lots of free time to relax and enjoy some of the culture and cuisine, both Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh city are full of things to do and places to visit.

If you would like to visit South-East Asia volunteering at an orphanage in Vietnam will be an experience not to forget. For more information or to arrange a placement please get in touch with Volunteering Solutions today.
