The orphans are a product of difficult circumstances and will require love, care, affection warmth and education. Volunteers working in our Indian ‘Help The Orphans’ programme will provide support to these children, to help them lead a happier life. For all involved, working in an orphanage is a truly fulfilling and enriching experience. Volunteers who help out at an orphanage will provide an important service to these children. Activities include spending time with them, telling stories and sharing their dreams.
Volunteers help the children with their day to day life, with activities such as doing homework, making notes, playing with children, helping staff with the running of the orphanage, exchanging cultural views and teaching them about health and hygiene. You can also take the kids out for picnics and for excursions. Don't worry if you have never done anything like this before, lots of volunteer join every year without any previous experience but full information and training will be provided. India is a very safe country to live and volunteer in, on placements you will make new friends and also get to travel and see more of this country.
