  • Aged 18 or over
  • Hold a valid US passport or Green Card
  • Currently be resident in the USA
  • Currently be a full-time degree level student, or a graduate intending to begin the internship no more than 12 months beyond the end of study
  • Hold an acceptable internship offer in the UK for up to 6 months
  • Have sufficient support funds

 

Top Tips for Passing an Internship Interview in the United Kingdom

If you are applying to intern from within the UK, or from outside you will usually need to have an interview for an internship program. It is vital you make a good impression as competition for places can be highly competative even if it is an unpaid position. If you currently reside overseas most interviews will be held over Skype and you will need to prepare to stand a good chance of getting a placement.

Here are some recommendations for passing an internship interview:

  • Make sure you get the right time and date (e.g. from outside the UK check the time zone)
  • Dress smartly - first impressions are everything
  • If you are being interviewed over Skype make sure your surrounds are quiet and professional
