How to Volunteer in Santorini

Due to the size of Santorini there are limited volunteer opportunities available but there are still ways you can get involved and help good causes. Some local organisations welcome day volunteers, others allow you to learn more about the work they do and either help or make a donation.

Here are the volunteer organisations we recommend in Santorini:

Santorini Animal Welfare

The Santorini Animal Welfare Association aim is to help animals - ranging from stray dogs and cats to abandoned donkeys and mules, care for their wellbeing and being an advocate of their rights.

Utopia Guesthouse

Utopia Guesthouse is located in south Santorini, on PERISSA black beach, the biggest and the widest of the island. A high convinient location either to use it as a base to discover the island or just soak in the local vibes and relax. You can volunteer with Utopia and be part of their community. Free accomodation and a day meal is offered in exchange 4 hours daily work. You will help in the garden, reception, maintenance, bar assistance and keep the place tidy and welcoming.
