Marketing Internships Abroad

There are small and large marketing companies all around the world looking for marketing/communications interns. Firm are usually dynamic, hands-on, innovative with a great diversity of clients both large and small. Most placements are unpaid but companies sometimes provide help towards accommodation, meals and transport. It is possible to find paid marketing internships whilst some companies also offer paid employment on sucessful completion of a placement. These destinations are recommended: 

 

What You Will Learn

  • Learn how to properly use strategic messaging to target specific target markets. Will use this to learn how to write proper blog posts, weekly news updates on website, etc.
  • Learn to strategically update social networks (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn)
  • Will gain an acute knowledge of Sales Force
  • Introduction to cold calling
  • Ongoing clerical duties such as answering the phone, taking messages, copying and scanning documents
  • Gain an acute knowledge of SEO (Search engine optimization)

General tasks:

  • Maintaining all social media; including facebook, twitter, LinkedIn
  • Researching relevant and exciting information to put on the blog
  • Link building (SEO)
  • Ongoing clerical duties such as answering the phone, taking messages, copying and scanning documents
  • Critical data entry

 

Requirements

Every company has different eligibility criteria:

Applicants might need to be studying at least one of these courses:

  • Communications, Marketing, Advertising, Design or Public Relations.

Language knowledge:

  • High level of written and spoken English

Computing programmes:

  • Knowledge of office software (Word, Excel, Access, etc)?
  • Good familarity with any of the following: Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Wordpress, Drupal
