Homestay Program: Total immersion in Spanish language
Learn Spanish successfully, intensively and rapidly by living and studying in our own house. You will be welcomed into Agualivar Spanish School where you will experience Spanish life as part of a warm, friendly family. You will speak only Spanish everyday and your teacher and all the Agualivar staff will help you find the right words in daily conversation. Our courses are specifically designed to meet your individual needs for learning Spanish.
Very Nice Location
The school, which is located in the city of Lagos in Malaga province, is a rural house southern Spain situated only 300 metres from the beach. Here, the students, that is our guests, will learn Spanish in a family environment and in a very different way from a traditional school. A rural house in the Axarquia Malagueña, a well-connected area close to the main tourist cities and attractions.
Social and Cultural Activities
We will arrange visits and excursions to places of interest and you will have free time to spend as you choose. You will be able to practice your Spanish everyday in real life situations with your teacher and all of us. This is the natural way to learn Spanish and to gain confidence in using the language.
Lessons
The group is 4 students maximum – average 2 or 3 students -, as are the rooms we have at home. The lessons will consist of a range of all skills - reading, writing, listening, speaking, vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, and culture according to your language learning needs. Usually the tuition is in the morning, leaving the afternoons and evenings free for activities, visits and excursions or private study. At the beginning of the course, the teacher will assess your level of Spanish and requirements, and plan a programme of study. You will be assessed again at the end of the course to record progress.
A full report of lesson content, achievement, and recommendations for future study will be sent to you after the end of the course, as well as your certificate. The great advantage of this programme is you live in the house with us, so that learning doesn’t stop at the end of the lesson - in every conversation we are helping you to speak Spanish - finding the right words and correcting grammar and pronunciation.
Family Time
Time spent with us during meals and evenings is a good opportunity for you to practice your spoken Spanish and to use the language you have studied in the lessons. You can learn as much during these times as you do in your lessons. We are always there to talk to you and help. Living with us also gives you an unique opportunity to experience and learn about Spanish and Andalusia culture and way of life.
Sustainable Approach to the Environment
Our motto, “The Green Way to Learn Spanish” seeks to satisfy those who would like to learn Spanish and enjoy a holidays in a rural and relaxing setting; not only spending the free time in activities and workshops relating to the environment, but also having the opportunity to participate in our diary lifestyle.
Surrounded by fruit and olives trees, with an orchard and a corral, you can be part of our home and participate in the activities you like. We also organize free green workshops in the evenings. All in Spanish and with our staff. You will learn to grow and harvest, recycle products as plastic bottles or corks, make naturals soaps or candles.
