We are currently running two programs within Texas – Houston and Aransas Pass. Both programs have transitioned to recovery and teams will focus on ensuring disaster survivors are provided with the support needed in rebuilding their lives.
We understand that Texas has a long road ahead and we are committed for the long term. So we have committed to be in Texas for at least two years. That’s what it takes to Rebuild Hope for families and communities after a disaster like Hurricane Harvey. So that’s what we do; we stay until the job is done.
Requirements
No special skills or previous experience is necessary, just a willingness to work hard for a good cause. We cannot accept volunteers under the age of 16. 16 and 17 year olds are able to Day Volunteer with us but must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Volunteers 18+ can stay on our base as Residential Volunteers.
We Provide:
1. three simple meals on work days; 2. basic accommodation; 3. All the necessary support and logistics for you to have a positive and productive volunteer experience.
You must cover the cost of:
1. travel to and from the program; 2. meals on your days off; 3. costs associated with any breaks.
