The Camp Nurse position is a full time summer seasonal position that will happen between the middle of June and the middle of August. He/She will be responsible for providing basic first aid to our campers, delivering prescribed medication that the children bring with them at appropriate times, and staying in continuous contact with myself about the needs of our campers.
During camper check-in each week, the Camp Nurse will ensure that the medical forms provided are correct and note any changes. The most common problems our campers have are headache, stomachache, and scrapes and cuts. Any serious injuries and the children will be taken to a medical facility which is only 10 minutes away. The Camp Nurse has his/ her own accommodation and may have campers staying with them overnight from time to time.
