The organization was founded and registered in 1999 (Registration No. 70/G.37/D1/VOL III OAPP of 3-th December, 1999) and is headquartered in the town of Limbe in Cameroon’s South West Region.
At APWCR, we envision a Cameroon where all citizens enjoy basic human rights without fear of persecution. We are currently working to realize this vision through legal research, educational programming and advocacy. We believe that change must come at all levels of Cameroonian society. As such, we work to develop and facilitate community-level programming, as well as coordinate national-level advocacy and awareness-building.
APWCR currently maintains 215 registered members who are beneficiaries of and contributors to our various programmatic initiatives. The organization is governed by a board of nine directors and who are responsible for drafting organizational policy and is comprised of three permanent members who approve and oversee the implementation of APWCR’s proposed agenda and programs.
