The Turtle Conservation project is located on the charming island of Nusa Penida. Through this programme, you will contribute to the protection of the turtle population in Nusa Penida.

Day 1: Airport Transfer & Nusa Penida

Location: Denpasar

Welcome the new arrivals. You will have lunch and receive a short introduction on the beach to familiarize yourself to this new exciting setting. After that, you will get to know more about Nusa Penida, about the supermarket, ATM etc.

Day 2-6: Turtle Conservation

Location: Nusa Penida

Week starts with a beach and Nusa Penida orientation. Work on turtle conservation from Monday, including feeding and cleaning. Tasks continue through Thursday, with a special dinner that night. Friday, departing volunteers can release turtles into the sea.

Day 7: Choose Your Own Adventure!

Location: Nusa Penida

The weekend is time for you to spread your wings a little, if you’re up for it. We’ve equipped you with some language basics, introduced you to the local cuisine…now lets see where that can get you! You’re free to organise any adventure you care to, or simply chill ahead of the volunteer work. We can offer advice on where to go, if you need it.
