Day 1: Welcome to your New Home
Location: Stone Town
Prepare for a warm Tanzanian welcome! Upon landing, our coordinator will meet you and escort you to your accommodation, briefing you on the thrilling adventures ahead. A splendid start to your Tanzanian journey!
Day 2-6: Volunteer Teaching
Location: Stone Town
Assist in Zanzibar schools, aiding students aged 5-14 in subjects like English and Math. Engage in educational activities and expect to be at school from 8am-3pm, teaching for 4+ hours with breaks. Lesson planning and donations of teaching materials, clothes, or toys are encouraged.
Day 7: Choose Your Own Adventure!
Location: Stone Town
The weekend is time for you to spread your wings a little, if you’re up for it. We’ve equipped you with some language basics, introduced you to the local cuisine…now lets see where that can get you! You’re free to organise any adventure you care to, or simply chill ahead of the volunteer work. We can offer advice on where to go, if you need it.
