The tours provide the clients with authentic travel experiences at the same time contributing to community development.
Run and owned by natives of Kisoro district in south western Uganda, Bamboo Ecotours focuses on providing adventure and community based tourism safaris that offer memorable experiences to the visitors and also contribute to the wellbeing of local communities. The 25% of the income raised from the tours is invested into a Community Development Fund.
Bamboo Ecotours offers a diverse range of safaris in Uganda. These include; gorilla tracking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, Wildlife viewing in Queen Elizabeth National Park, Volcanoes hiking and golden monkey trekking in Mgahinga Gorilla National Park. There are also education exchange tours and cultural visits in communities in south western Uganda.
Bamboo Ecotours also has a special volunteer program for people interested in combining travel experiences with volunteer work. Most volunteers teach at community kindergarten, support marketing initiatives at community owned ecotourism lodges, others teach computing skills and conservation education at local schools.
