With Cango Travel, we have assembled a team of passionate and experienced travel planners, all pioneers in their respective fields and areas of interest. We regularly revisit our favorite destinations to discover new experiences, and we continually explore new ones to add to our increasing stable of trips and adventures.

Our focus is on culture, nature and adventure.

Our Philosophy

We deal largely in culture, nature and adventure travel, but for us adventures are not just the rugged kind. An adventure can take many forms and need involve little that is overly strenuous – to us every trip is a voyage of discovery and hence an adventure.

We craft cultural trips as well as active trips that involve trekking, mountain-biking, rafting, safaris, nature and wildlife trips, etc., the guiding philosophy behind each is that the trip be environmentally friendly and sustainable. This means impacting as little as possible on the peoples and places we visit, always respecting the distinctiveness and special qualities of each.

To sum up, we try to:

  • Learn from nature & other cultures
  • Minimise impact on natural & cultural environments
  • Return something to the local community
  • Facilitate self-determination for native peoples
  • Promote sustainable tourism
  • Have fun!

Where do we go?

Our forte is the countries in our own backyard – the fascinating, wonderful world of Asia. Within this world the diversity of picturesque landscapes and cultures provides any traveller with a multitude of places to visit. There are soaring, snow-capped mountains, densely forested hills and valleys, verdant rain forests, blue glaciated lakes and romantic emerald green bays dotted with limestone islets.

What do we do?

The way to move about our destinations must be environmentally-friendly as well as economically and physically efficient. This means we trek, raft, cycle, kayak or use animals like ponies. We use mechanised transport when we have to cover long distances in limited time; even so, we use local modes of transportation as far as possible to maximise exposure to the local lifestyles and to get close to the people. As a consequence, during the tours, there are a lot of opportunities to learn about and from the indigenous peoples.
