CEC is recognised by ACELS, a service of Quality and Qualifications Ireland, for English Language Education  (ELE). CEC is also a member of Quality English and we are full members of EAQUALS.

In addition to offering an extensive range of English language programmes for adults and juniors, CEC organises all elements of your stay in Ireland. We also help and support you with transfers to and from the airport, accommodation, social activities and excursions. CEC is an authorised Cambridge ESOL, IELTS, BULATS, TOEIC and TOLES examination centre in Cork.

 

Teaching Jobs

CEC are currently recruiting suitably qualified EFL teachers for full-time and part-time teaching hours for an immediate start in our busy city centre adult school. CEC teaches a range of course including General English, Business English and Exam preparation classes and teenage group classes. We are an authorised Cambridge and IELTS examination centre and there are plenty of opportunities to gain a wide range of teaching experience with the ongoing support of an experience academic team.

All teachers must have:

  • a primary degree (NFQ Level 7)
  • a recognised TEFL qualification such as Cambridge CELTA, Trinity TESOL, ACELS CELT or equivalent.

 

Summer Teachers: Adult School

Full-time and Part-time teaching positions.

We are recruiting enthusiastic, motivated English Language Teachers for July and August in our city-centre adult school. Classes have a maximum of 12 students per class and teachers follow a well-established curriculum in delivering lessons and all course materials are provided. Teachers are supported at all times by an experienced academic management team and benefit from regular in service training workshops.

We welcome both experienced and newly qualified teachers and offer the opportunity to gain experience and develop your teaching skills in a busy, dynamic and professional language school.

CEC aims to ensure students achieve their learning outcomes through fun and engaging lessons where their needs are fully understood and met. We are proud of the diverse range of programmes we offer our students and are an authorised Cambridge, IELTS and Trinity examination centre. CEC is a member of MEI and Quality English, as well as being accredited by ACELS and EAQUALS.

Internship at CEC

Cork English College has a number of vacancies for internships in the following areas:

  • Office administration
  • Marketing

Suitable candidates must have completed their studies in a field related to the aforementioned areas.

A minimum level of B2 English is required. The placement period is from 3 to 6 months.

The placements are unpaid. Full training is provided. These placements are ideal for candidates who have recently completed their studies and are now interested in gaining practical experience.
