The CIS Spanish School provides both private lessons and group lessons using popular education techniques and incorporating Salvadoran history and culture into its lessons. Group classes are Monday - Friday 8:30am-12:15pm. The Spanish school can also provide homestays, and the opportunity to continue learning about El Salvador outside the classroom via a political cultural program which goes on excursions during the afternoon.
The English school is looking for volunteers for cycle 3 and 4 of the year, which run from June 23-August 28th, and from September 16th to November 20. Teachers are not required to speak spanish and are given all the training needed to give classes. The schedule also allows you to study spanish if you so chose, at a discounted rate.
The CIS also observes elections in El Salvador. We accept long term volunteers (Jan 4th-April 3rd 2015) or observers just for the week (Feb. 23rd- March 3rd).
