Our mission is to collaborate with Maasai communities to empower Maasai women in Tanzania. Our projects focus on supporting girl's education, cultural exchange, and local economic efforts.The Maasai are semi-nomadic ethnic group that live in northern Tanzania and have the highest rates of child marriage, female genital mutilation (FGM), illiteracy and poverty among women in the country. Most women are self-employed in the informal sector, and have seasonal sources of income In Maasai culture women have responsibility to raise children and run the family.it is often difficult for them to have their own income and be independent as the men typically control the the finances. Maasai women and girls are particularly vulnerable and disadvantaged and often bear the heaviest burdens of these challenges
This Program will enable Volunteers to work with the local people and improves access to social services like children education,women empowerment,skill development.Most Women in the Maasai village expressed a desire to use their skills and knowledge in making beutiful Jewelry as a way to earn an income which help them to run the family.

No prior experience is required to join this project as our Project Workers will provide training. However, your own skills and knowledge are appreciated if they benefit these women
