There are currently over 150 members, embracing many different disciplines including nursing, GU Medicine, paediatrics, community child health, child development, psychology, social work, dieticians, pharmacists and support services.
CHIVA ran its first summer camp this August and it was an incredible success. 79 HIV+ young people aged 13-17 from across the UK and Ireland attended the camp. Both the young people and volunteers reported having a 'life changing' experience. A full evaluation of the impact of the camp on the lives of the young people who attended it is being produced by Sigma Research and will be published in early 2011.
