Since 1998 we have trained more than 1200 volunteers to help Humana projects in Africa and India. We work with children, parents, farmers, teachers, local leaders, national government and international partners to tackle the root causes of poverty, and together with them, to build sustainable and thriving communities. We also work on many projects here in the UK and Europe, community food banks, soup kitchens, helping the homeless and investigating social injustice, climate change and media reporting.
Our programmes and volunteering projects also prove very popular for students thinking about a gap year or at post graduate level, however, CICD attracts a range of students of all ages, nationalities, faiths and backgrounds, and our students experience not only theoretical education but a practical one too.
