Colorado China Council was dedicated to developing programs to deepen the American public's understanding and appreciation of China's history, culture and contemporary life. CCC did this by sending people from North America to China to teach English, as well as other subjects, at Chinese universities.
As part of the exchange, foreign teachers were also able to share American history and culture with Chinese students.
CCC placed over 750 teachers, making it one of the U.S.'s largest non-religious providers of teachers to China at the time. Knowledge of Chinese language was not a prerequisite.
Colorado China Council (CCC) has now stopped operating.
