Dubrovnik is well known as Southern Dalmatia and the ‘Croatian pearl’ an astonishingly well preserved renaissance and baroque city, surrounded by spectacular fortifications, and it is listed on UNESCO World Heritage site.
The tour begins in Dubrovnik where time is set aside to explore the narrow streets and lively town. Extending westerly into the Mediterranean the loosely connected islands of southern Dalmatia are best explored by bike where quiet roads lead to magnificent views.
Highlights include visiting Mljet Island with National park, beautiful island of Korcula with its medieval walled town Korčula, a birthplace of Marco Polo nestled on the jewel shaped peninsula and surrounded by sea and discovering the wine‑making traditions of the Pelješac Peninsula.
