Zagorje has a landscape of small hills and valleys, with many charming old castles, vineyards and thermal springs which we will enjoy in the local spa centers.
We will visit the city of Zagreb, Mount Medvednica Nature Park and some of the most attractive locations in the Zagorje region. The cycling route provides a pleasant ride through this picturesque area which links the springs of Krapinske and Tuheljske toplice – popular for wellbeing and leisure.
Along the route there are meadows, fields, vineyards... Besides marvels of natural beauty you will also see many crucifixes (called “krajputaši”) as you ride, as well as churches, chapels and monuments of fallen soldiers, museums, galleries, castles and the president’s birth-place!
This route can be adapted to combine local roads – depending on your level of physical fitness.
