Dream Life Skills Development Program (Dream programs) supplement regular schooling. Activities like sports, creative arts, computers and outdoor adventure intrinsically lend to an interactive process of teaching and learning.
Such a learning environment enables learners to acquire knowledge and to develop attitudes and skills that support the adoption of healthy behaviour. Also, by providing the children with a chance to enjoy themselves and socialize, we generate instantaneous motivation to attend our programs for the long haul.
Dream Programs’ curriculums ensure that children use the space to explore interests, gain self-awareness, develop self-confidence, a healthy self-esteem, assume leadership roles, develop critical thought and other life coping skills that are necessary for success in a dynamic world, but often fall outside the pale of the conventional schooling system. The intervention provides vulnerable children with the “tools” necessary for engaging with life in a wholesome manner.
Currently, we enhance the lives of 3000 children from vulnerable backgrounds and engage over 1500 active volunteers who represent an increasingly sensitive community.
