The Russian Language Academy Durbe has been working for more than 20 years as a language school. We are recognized by the Latvian Ministry of Education and Science and are also a member of EAQUALS – an international association of language schools working together to ensure that we all have the highest possible quality of language education.

Location
Our school is in the very heart of Riga, the capital of Latvia. It is impossible to not take in the elegant atmosphere and the beauty of the architecture around us! On the opposite side of the street, you can get to the gardens and the National Opera House, and less than two minutes away are the train station and central grocery store.
Farther down on our street is the University of Latvia and the entrance to the historic Old Town. We also are lucky to have the shopping mall ”Origo” very close by, where our students can get everything they could need during their language experience, whether it be school supplies, restaurants, cafés, or even more.
Staff
Our staff is very friendly and welcoming, always warm and ready to help you whenever you need. We hold quality, responsibility, and reliability with the utmost importance. Our teachers are all native speakers with the highest degrees in education, philology, applied linguistics, and pedagogy. They are experienced professionals specialized in teaching Russian as a foreign language with additional qualifications in cultural studies, business, law, science, and more. They constantly motivate our students to master Russian grammar and vocabulary through interactive activities, games, song, and much more. Our students have always let us know how much they love our teachers and how they have learned so much from them.
Facilities
The school is on the third floor of a historical building. Our building is equipped with 10 bright classrooms, all with necessary learning technology. We have a computer room, a library and free Wi-Fi for students; in the student lounge there is a hot beverages machine for a cup of coffee, tea or even hot chocolate, and multiple water dispensers are always available. Students are welcome to use the Computer room and the library for learning purposes and social communication.
