Our mission is to improve and inspire science education and conservation efforts worldwide through field-based student-scientist partnerships. We empower youth to take an active role in conservation.
Volunteer
Our enthusiastic volunteers have helped thousands of students become active participants in conservation. As a volunteer, there are a number of different ways you can help change lives and protect endangered species. Please contact us for details.
Host a Houseparty
Host an intimate gathering of friends and select EPI staff as a way to introduce our programs and share opportunities to make a difference in the world.
Host an EPI presentation
Invite an EPI representative to your work, school, or community group. We’ll give a slideshow about the species we work with and lives we change, answer questions, and provide materials for those who want to get involved.
Independent Study
Contribute to the growing body of knowledge surrounding conservation. Earn credits by crafting your own scientific study with guidance from EPI staff. The possibility are endless!
Intern at a Field Site
EPI offers numerous internship opportunities at our field sites in Costa Rica, Galapagos, Mexico, and Yellowstone. All interns must be bilingual and have proper documentation to live and work at the field site.
Intern at our Office
High school student interns have the opportunity to work in our office to earn financial aid towards their EPI tuition as well as gain first-hand experience with the operations of a non-profit organization. The student interns assist with administrative tasks and day-to-day office activities such as making copies, preparing mailings, data entry, and filing.
