ECTARC was established in 1988 and is nowadays considered one of the leading organisations in Wales in the field of international mobility. ECTARC is very involved in Erasmus+, the EU's vocational training programme. The programme is designed to build a skills mobile European workforce and funds work placements and language courses abroad.
ECTARC works with many institutions around Europe that send and receive groups of students to study languages and gain work experience in their own field of employment, training or study. ECTARC is accredited for its English language course provision and runs a series of courses from Trinity (GESE and SEW) to English for Work and Social purposes and Teaching Methodology courses.
