Have a feel of the vast openness of New Zealand and be part of a local farming family. If you like the country life, tractors, cattle and fresh air, and want to experience the great wide open, then our Farmstay project is perfect for you!
This volunteer abroad project gives you the chance to become involved with farm work but also with the family’s activities. Volunteers get involved in all fields of tasks. Such duties include; caring for the cows and/or sheep, basic maintenance, etc. It is important to keep in mind that the program is not only about ranching, it is a cultural exchange program where candidates get a real inside of Kiwi culture, customs and mentality.
In return for your work the family will offer you free accommodation and food and will include you in their personal activities such as going to market fairs, and local festivals, church, local sporting events etc! Please take into consideration that you will be situated in a remote location. If this is no problem, join us now for an experience of a lifetime!
