Itinerary

Day 1 Delhi
Arrive at any time.

Day 2 Delhi
Support Planeterra's New Delhi Streetkids Project on an included walk led by a former street kid before an afternoon orientation walk in Old Delhi. Overnight train to Bikaner.

Day 3-4 Bikaner
Enjoy a camel safari and camp overnight in the desert under the stars. Orientation walk of the Bikaner market and the old city.

Day 5-6 Jaisalmer
Orientation walk around Jaisalmer, then time to explore and check out its ancient yet still-inhabited fort.

Day 7 Jodhpur
Orientation walk around town, then opt to visit the Mehrangarh Fort.

Day 8-9 Udaipur
Get to know the old city on an orientation walk. Opt to visit the City Palace, or take in an evening dance performance at Bagore Ki Haveli.

Day 10 Pushkar
Upon arrival in Pushkar, explore the city on an orientation walk. Opt to tour the world’s only temple to the Hindu god of creation, Brahma, scour the markets for Indian wares, or watch the sunrise over this sacred city after a walk up to Savitri Temple.

Day 11 Tordi Sagar
Dive into rural life and visit a potter and other local areas of a village. Opt to take a jeep safari to the dunes for sunset, head for a hike in the hills or get a henna tattoo with the local women.

Day 12-13 Jaipur
Before leaving Tordi Sagar, enjoy a local lunch prepared by traditional methods at a village hamlet, then continue to Jaipur. Enjoy an orientation walk around town and a guided tour of the Amber Fort. Take some free time to explore other sites around town.

Day 14-15 Agra
Marvel at the Taj Mahal on a guided tour. Opt to explore the Agra Fort and Baby Taj.

Day 16-18 Varanasi
Cruise the Ganges River by boat at sunrise and sunset and enjoy a candle flower ceremony. Overnight train back to Delhi.

Day 19 Delhi
Free time to explore Delhi.

Day 20 Delhi
Depart at any time.
