This 8-day tour loops east from Perth to the Esperance region, along the stunning southern coast and back up the west coast through the famous wine region of Margaret River. On top of that, you’ll get a prime mix of hiking and outdoor pursuits, diverse scenery and deep history. All killer, no filler.
Day 1 Perth
Arrive at any time.
Day 2 Kalgoorlie
Head through the desert of Western Australia to Kalgoorlie, the largest town in the region, founded during the gold rush in 1893.
Day 3 Cape Le Grand NP
Visit the Super Pit, an open-cut gold mine. Continue to Esperance, known for its stunning setting amongst the bush, beach and granite. Head to Cape Le Grand National Park, taking in the blue ocean and white-sand beaches. Camp under the stars in a traditional 'swag'.
Day 4 Cape Le Grand NP
Explore this gorgeous national park. Hike up the granite formation of Frenchman's Peak, swim in Lucky Bay's and Hell Fire Bay's turquoise waters and watch kangaroos sunbathe on the white powdery beaches.
Day 5 Albany
Drive to Albany. Opt to enjoy the coastal views over King George Sound by foot or by bike.
Days 6-7 Margaret River
Head for the Rainbow Coast. Stop at granite formations like The Gap and Natural Bridge. Take a canopy treetop walk to discover the massive Karri trees. Continue to Margaret River for a surf lesson, then head straight to the vineyards. Enjoy a tour and wine tasting at local wineries.
Day 8 Perth
Visit the Ngilgi Cave and learn Aboriginal legends. Listen to dreamtime stories and listen to the sounds of the didgeridoo. Stop at the famous Busselton jetty. Trip ends on arrival in Perth. Onward travel can be booked after 8pm.
