Gap Kenya’s ‘Mungu Anaweza’ is a project designed to rescue, nurture and help children and mothers living on the streets and garbage dumps in Mombasa.
Where possible, we will try and repatriate children back to their parents, however this is always dependent on why a child is living on the streets in the first place. It is not uncommon for a child to be turned out of their home by a step parent, or abused in some way which forces them to run.
Within our centres, everyone is treated as an individual with their own special gifts and qualities.
