Geckos Peru Highlights

I’ve travelled with three different companies before and Geckos were easily the best! If you’re after authentic, local experiences, and enjoy local transport and being immersed in local culture you need to consider Geckos! The Peru highlights tour was amazing! Aside from the iconic Machu Picchu experience, there were so many other inclusions and activities making this tour great value for money and highly enjoyable. I loved that some of the activities were things I wouldn’t have thought to do on my own - but am so glad I did them (eg the Home Stay and time in the Amazon)! Overall I can’t fault this tour!

Geckos Central America

Geckos through Central America gave you a lot of time to yourself and time to explore the things you wanted to see. There were limited activities however with the right tour guide you could be given a whole list of things to do on a day at a relatively low cost. While having to use public transport at some times wasn’t ideal it was safe and gave time to look at how the locals do it. The private transport was great, big, clean buses with enough room to spread out over the long drives.

Geckos Galapagos

I had an amazing time traveling with Geckos Adventures! The only reason I won’t be traveling with them again is that I’m already 29. We got to see so much incredible wild life, from swimming with juvenile sea lions, sea turtles and sharks to walking along side giant tortoises and marine iguanas. I also love that Geckos does land based tours instead of cruise ships, as we really got a feel for the island culture and had a lot more chance to interact with locals. The only drawback was that many excursions weren’t included, but they were worth the additional price and our guide was knowledgeable about other amazing things to do if you didn’t want to pay more. I highly recommend the Galapagos trip with Geckos Adventures.

Geckos Vietnam!

Could not recommend highly enough the tours through Vietnam.. the local guides are a real point of difference! They make a good mix of fun, culture and history!

The perfect mix of organised activities, leisure and adventure!

I have been on two tours with Geckos now and could not recommend them enough! The guides' attention to detail, ability to read a group, passion, enthusiasm and knowledge are all things that set this experience far above my expectations. I've met some wonderful people from around the world and have made memories with them!

Laos

I've travelled with geckos twice and really love them. Our guide on this laos trip was amazing. We had an all girl group, I think girls are more likely to do organised tours. I've made great friends, seen awesome places and had lots of fun. I love the flexibility of geckos, it feels like you get to make your own decisions. Remember with a tour that's not all inclusive you'll need lots of cash. I enjoyed the peice of mind and holiday feel of a tour, mixed with the freedom to make choices in terms of activities. I now get the single supplement when I go with geckos to make it feel more like a holiday and less like school camp but it's a great time either way. They helped organise my flights and insurance on this most recent last minute trip. Which was excellent. I think airport transfers are only necessary for people who have never travelled before. I will book with them again, especially if I can catch them during a sale. I'm going to look out for the last minute deals too. Laos with geckos was the best last minute holiday I've ever booked.

Geckos turkey tails

An outstanding adventure of an absolutely amazing place. Geckos turkey tails is a great introduction to turkey and it's beautiful culture.
Our excellent guide who's knowledge of turkey and it's deep history made it an adventure not just a tour.
If u are thinking of travelling to turkey look up geckos adventures you won't be disappointed. 🇹🇷👌

LA to San Francisco Highlights Tour

I joined a tour of the USA West Coast and got to see places like the Grand Canyon and Joshua Tree National Park. Geckos is authentic travel - you'll get a legend of a guide and you can be guaranteed that the people you share your time with on the trip, are going to have many shared common interests with you.

Geckos Japan

Geckos were an absolutely fantastic company to go with. Their local japanese guide on the discover japan tour was fantastic and so helpful with our travels, which is great since Japan will give you such a massive culture shock and it can be difficult to move around big cities like Tokyo and Osaka. I would 10/10 reccomend this tour company. Also on a side note, make sure you take some time and stay an extra few days in Tokyo and Osaka. They have a lot to offer and 1-2 days simply isn't enough time
