Gloria English School (GES) is one of the most prestigious educational organizations in Taiwan. Established in 1978, Gloria has had almost 40 years of experience in English language education, curriculum development, teacher training, and staff management. We currently have 18 branches throughout Taoyuan City and are continuing to expand.
Because GES has such a large number of branch schools, it's likely that you will very quickly acquire a full work schedule - either by picking up regular classes of your own, or by subbing for teachers who are ill or on vacation.
Most teachers maintain a schedule of around 22-26 hours/week. Before you begin teaching classes of your own, you will have the opportunity to observe a number of classes being taught by experienced teachers to get a "feel" for how classes are taught. You'll also attend several workshops where the material for the various levels will be introduced and GES teaching methods explained. And then, before you know it, you'll find yourself at the front of a class leading a group of students through the English language, playing games, singing songs, having fun and, incredibly, getting paid for it!
If at any point you feel the need for further training, individual one-on-one workshops are available to help get you up to speed. Furthermore, our well-trained Taiwanese co-teachers will make every effort to assist you in the classroom and our directors of teaching affairs are always available to offer you ongoing teaching support.

We offer a competitive salary and ensure job security by guaranteeing teaching hours. We also provide an accident/life/medical insurance policy for our teachers which is valid for the duration of their contract term. We provide free housing for 15 months (single rooms with shared living room, kitchen and bathrooms). Upon completion of a one-year contract, we offer our teachers a one-year bonus. In addition, Gloria offers various bonuses for monthly attendance, student re-enrollment rates, contract renewal and for the four main Chinese holidays.
