We offer Cambridge CELTA, ICELT and Delta courses, as well as a range of options for second language teachers of English who would like to improve their English as well as brush up on methodology and teaching ideas. Located in Bournemouth, UK, we are the second biggest teacher training centre in the UK and the biggest outside of London.
ITTC is best known for its delivery of Cambridge CELTA courses, which it has been doing for over 30 years. Thousands of people wanting to become TEFL teachers have done 4-week full-time or part-time CELTA courses with us and have lived and taught Engish all over the world. The CELTA qualification really is your passport to work and travel abroad, whether that's just for a year or two or as a long-term career.
For people not sure that TEFL is right for them, we offer a 1 or 2 day weekend option, which gives you an introduction to how to teach English, what it's like to be a language learner, as well as information on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. You will also have the opportunity to practise teaching English to real non-native speakers of English.
All of our tutors have at least 15 years of teaching experience and many have been teacher trainers for over a decade. They are all Delta qualified and many hold an MA in Applied Linguistics and TESOL.
