The Seattle Pacific University/School of Teaching ESL ELL Endorsement program meets the competencies set forth by the Washington State Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction for an ELL Endorsement. This endorsement is required for public P-12 teachers wishing to be hired as ELL teachers.
Length of Training:
4 weeks full-time
Daily Schedule & Intensity:
Students should expect to be in class from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm (with breaks, of course), Monday-Friday. Tuesday & Thursday 5:30-8:15 pm practicum teaching. Weekends are primarily free for sight-seeing and relaxation, but some homework is required.
Class Size & Facilities:
Classes are capped at 12 students; Internet access is available at the school facilities.
