in countries including Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, South Africa, Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan, D.P.R.K, Sudan, and the disaster area of East Japan since the earthquake in 2011. We are devoted to enlightenment activities toward the fair and just society through advocacy, development education and networking.

Volunteers are an essential element of our team. Our volunteers help with a variety of tasks in our Tokyo office such as helping in the dispatch of JVC calendar and translating Japanese articles to English for the JVC webpage. We welcome anyone interested in volunteering to attend one of our orientation days in the Tokyo office to learn more about how you can get involved.

The orientation will be given mostly in Japanese. English speakers are advised to notify us beforehand.

Weekly Day Volunteer Tasks Include:

  • Cutting out stamps
  • Sorting through Post Cards and used stamps
  • Process the shipping and handling of JVC products, such as magazines
  • Dispatch JVC Calendar
  • Help input data into the computer
  • Translating articles
  • Various other office work
