L’association, Les Amis De La Giraudière is a non-profit, non government organisation, NGO, registered with the prefecture of the department of the Charente.
La Giraudière is well established in the village life of Brossac and yet remains international in its operations and scope. This mixture of Local French life, European awareness and international outlook provides a place for cultural understanding with a unique French experience.
Since 2008 La Giraudière as been hosting volunteers, interns, trainees and educational groups.

Volunteer in France
Need a change of scenery, Do you like rural France? a holiday with a difference, some time out pheraps, meet some new people and form some contacts from around the world, like to learn or improve your French, or English? Learn some new skills or maybe pass on those you have. All is possible at La Giraudiere when you volunteer in France
We need your help in France This once Masters House is being transformed, maintained, restored and renovated to be an auberge, or hamlet, a place of learning a place of uniqueness and exchange cultural where people from all walks of life can experience and learn about France, improve their French, or English, and immerse themselves in the rural French way of life. Although the project is unfinished, we have already accommodated over 690 volunteers and interns from around the globe. University, academy and school groups have also made use of the La Giraudiere project and it's programs.
The project is unique thanks to those that volunteer, or have volunteered before you. You can now benefit from their help and spend some time in France without breaking the bank. In exchange for your 18 hours of volunteering per week you will get to experience France like never before. You will get accommodation, 3 meals a day, weekly group language lessons, excursions and so much more, all from just €25 per day.
