Program Description:
Lanta Animal Welfare is in urgent need of volunteers to help care for the island's stray, neglected and abused animals. Come join an incredible team of hardworking people and help our cause. Responsibilities range from basic care (walking, feeding, socialising), scrubbing kennels, cleaning cat cages and litter trays, scrubbing outdoor dog areas and picking up poop, doing laundry, giving tours of the centre to visiting tourists and more.
The minimum period to volunteer is one month and volunteers will receive free, basic but comfortable accommodation subject to availability (food is at your own expense). You will have support the whole time you stay with us, an introduction to the island and a great experience! Successful candidates will need to be hardworking, enthusiastic, ready to learn new things and proactive. For all long-term volunteers there’s a complimentary Thai cooking class, plus discount prices at our founder's restaurant and beach bar.

Requirements:
Good health, a willingness to work hard, tolerance for a tropical environment and animal husbandry. A background in working with animals is preferred but not essential.
