Working as a Gap Assistant, you’ll live and work in a Thai international school where English is the native student language.
All our placements are in leading international schools across Thailand, so there is no need to have a prior understanding of the Thai language.
We’ve partnered with only the most reputable of schools, ensuring that you’ll enjoy your placement at a secure, clean and modern facility, often sharing your experience with a large percentage of staff from Western countries. Your new colleagues will be as welcoming as the locals, helping you to adjust to your new Thai life both professionally and socially. In fact, our partnered schools are so good at sharing their slice of paradise with new gap assistants that many previous participants have referred to their Thai schools as the ‘Hogwarts of Asia’!
Between terms, you’re free to explore Thailand and everything it has to offer; ride a tuk-tuk around Bangkok, learn the customs of the traditional hill tribes in the north of Chiang Mai, or simply lay on a secluded sandy beach and relax.
Our Thai Gap Year Program is inclusive of meals, accommodation, weekly allowance, visa assistance, a comprehensive in-country orientation and ongoing support from our committed team.
Departure
Placements for our Thailand Gap Year Program commence in early January and early August and conclude in December or July depending on duration and intake.
Duration
Our Thailand Gap Year Program uniquely is offered as an 11 month placement.
Remuneration
In addition to complimentary food and accommodation, participants can expect to receive between AU$150 and AU$350 per week as an allowance during the school term.
