We are looking for independent, dedicated and self-motivated volunteers who are sincere about helping with our projects.
We need individuals who are able to work as part of our team, but who can also use their own initiative. We are willing to consider people of all ages, from a wide variety of backgrounds. Previous experience with the marine environment is not a requirement. The staff at LOT will provide volunteer training, where required, and will try to nurture individual interests.
It is essential to realize that volunteers must be motivated towards the work, responsible for their own health and safety, and will be expected to adopt a proactive and supportive role in the team. As the resources of the project are stretched we are unable to accommodate holiday makers. We hope that you will enjoy helping us achieve our aims.
We have a myriad of ideas, which we hope you will be able to help us with. We want you to find your work enjoyable so you should take some time to think about what aspects you might enjoy helping us with.
In order for us to consider your application, we hope you will tell us about yourself and your interests, so we can think about how best we might be able to utilize you. Whilst we encourage volunteers to generate new ideas you should consider that we have merger resources and therefore anything new you might plan must involve minimal expenses.
