There are many ways you can help protect and conserve the English countryside. Volunteering is one direct way you can get involved.

Natural England is working to increase volunteering by improving access to information about a range of activities. In addition Natural England provides direct opportunities for volunteers to get involved in conservation at its National Nature Reserves.

We know that people value the wildlife and natural beauty of England. Our challenge is to build on this interest and translate it into action for the natural environment.
