Wahat al-Salam – Neve Shalom (pronounced “waaḥat’ as-salaam/nevei shalom”) is Arabic and Hebrew for Oasis of Peace: an intentional community jointly established by Jewish and Palestinian Arab citizens of Israel. Wahat al-Salam - Neve Shalom gives practical expression to its vision of an egalitarian society through pioneering educational work at The School for Peace, Children’s Educational System and the Pluralistic Spiritual Centre. A Youth Club provides extracurricular activities for the community’s children. When funding permits, the community conducts humanitarian aid projects including, in recent years, summer camps for children from the West Bank.
